I come from an artistic background with a BA in theater/dance, and am a visual artist and a singer/songwriter as well. I value family and good friends and am revived by journeys out into nature.
My therapeutic style emphasizes warmth, creativity and communication and encourages you to experience your emotions and talk about your challenges. I have extensive experience assisting people with their relationships and life transitions.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist and artist, I believe in the importance of the process toward healing and self-fulfillment. I have found that getting in touch with the body, mind and spirit can help promote health and well-being. I also find that humor helps to facilitate connection and communication.

I am currently working with adults on an individual basis to help change thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs that may not be working for you or to help heal past traumas. While grief, loss, anxiety and depression are universal experiences, everyone deals with these issues differently. This is why one of my goals is to adapt therapy to your individual needs and wants.
I believe in the importance of focusing on your strengths, and am committed to offering you empathy, respect and listening without judgment. Within this safe environment, we will work together to establish important goals in order to work toward change.
On your initial visit, I will discuss the therapeutic process and answer any questions you may have. I will spend some time collecting some important information to improve my understanding of your current situation and the possible consequences of the problem. I will also begin exploring your past history to help me better understand you and your challenges.
